Sakura

For centuries, the sakura or Japanese cherry blossom has been held in the highest regard for the flower’s beauty. To this day in Japan, friends and family come together to celebrate the blooming of the sakura.

On July 25, 2009, Plantation Bay welcomes you to Sakura within the lush grounds of Mogambo Springs, the Spa at Plantation Bay. Celebrate the blossoming of fashion and style with Sakura, a collaboration of two of the freshest and most stylish designers in Singaporean fashion.

Cebuana designer Lotte Delima-Edwards, now based in Singapore, presents her “Japan in My Mind” collection reminiscent of the geisha’s feminine sensuality. Ana Liew’s “Tokyo Sky” collection will feature layered colors and textures in samurai-inspired silhouettes.

The collections are perfect for the sophisticated woman, the modern-day epitome of beauty. The venue, Mogambo Springs was awarded the Best Spa Experience in Asia by the Asia Spa and Wellness Festival 2009. It was also short-listed for the Best Spa Therapist Team of the Year by Asia Spa’s Crystal Awards 2008. The fashion show will feature “real people” from Singapore and Cebu as guest models.

Sharing the runway are models from MAC and AD modeling agencies. Top caliber make-up divas Jessie Glova will do the look for Lotte Delima-Edwards and Romero Vergara for Ana Liew. Accessories from Shandar by Mark Tenchavez and Avatar by Butch Carungay. This fashion event is directed by Monch Ceballos.
